Nestled in the picturesque Mackenzie Region of New Zealand, the Ben Ohau Golf Club has been a cherished part of the local golfing community since 1971.
Originally located on Glen Lyon Road, the Ben Ohau Golf Club was a 9 hole course situated on Ben Ohau Station. In 1985 the land was required to be used for farming, so a site in the Twizel township was negotiated with the council - the former Ministry of Works singlemen’s camp. The first inception of the current location was open to play in 1986, with a further change to the course in 1992 to include raised greens and altered layout. In 2021 alternate tee boxes on 7 of the holes were put into play, and in 2022 a purple tee course was added.
The course is now an integral part of the Twizel township and the community.
